Essentials for your baby frenchie
RAISED FOOD BOWLS
For us our babie's structure is really important. We use raised bowls since they're small puppies, it helps keep their little paws together, when they bend down to eat they're putting pressure on their paw and in the long term it will make them split more, it's not necessary but a preference we have at MonRoyal's Frenchies and it has proven to help with their posture as well.
BABY GATE (PLAY PEN)
Here at MonRoyal's Frenchie we don't use cages. Our babies are all potty trained in our baby Play Pens. We give them their own space with their bed in one end, their pee pads in the other and their food/water bowl in between to separate it. Our puppies love having the space to play, they don't feel confined and they sleep well all night without crying or waking up.
SUMMER COOLING VETS
Frenchies can easily overheat during the warm summers, which is why it's important to always have a cooling vest with you on walks, picnics or any outdoor activities. See link below to a vest from Bark Industry:
SLOW FEEDING BOWLS
Our babies are the cutest but they can also be little piggies who loves their food more than anything. Sometimes they eat a little too fast and can get bloated and gassy. HARNESSES
Because of their short noses Frenchies have more difficulties breathing, collars can sometimes be dangerous for them. A harness disperses pressure over a larger area of the puppies' body, reducing strain on his neck and back. Harnesses discourage pulling. When your dog is wearing a collar and pulls on the leash, he's still moving forward, which makes him think the pulling is successful.
